10 Things

The Session of Huntersville ARP meets each year to discuss the focus of the next year’s ministry and how we can pray for those goals and visions. For 2009, our list includes the following:

• That we would have a deeper intimacy with Christ through continued consciousness of our sin before a Holy God, an acute awareness of our need for a Savior, and a desire to worship and serve Him to the best of our abilities. That we would glorify Him!
• That the next generation of young people in our church would become vibrant believers, grow in their relationship with our Lord, and reflect the character of Christ throughout our community through their actions, behavior, speech, dress, etc., thereby impacting others in His name.
• That the Lord would move more people to joyfully and extensively use their gifts, abilities, and talents in the work of our local church, and area ministries.
• That we would all be more effective stewards of the resources (time, talents, financial means) that our Lord has entrusted to us, cheerfully giving to this and other ministries – investing in His Kingdom, from an eternal perspective.
• That the families of our church will see husbands lead family worship in the home.
• That our church would develop a women’s ministry that invests in women in a way that equips them as disciples, for their own spiritual maturation, for the good of the marriages and families of the church, for the betterment of the total ministry of the church, and for their life in the world.
• That we would continue to be a congregation characterized by harmony and love towards one another.
• That our church will be characterized by a passion for evangelism and missions.
• That God would continue to grow our congregation, enabling us to expose others to Biblically sound teaching, and that we might have a more effective impact on the community-at-large.
• That the Lord would continue to heal and sustain those with physical and emotional illness.

Please join us each week in prayer as we look forward to strengthening and edifying the body of Christ withing the community of Huntersville ARP, and to the world at large as we seek to claim the lost and minister to the world around us.
