Our Staff

Nick Napier, Senior Pastor

Nick, a North Carolina native, was raised in a Christian household. He is married to an amazingly gifted and patient woman, who was also raised in a Christian home. She is a long time Presbyterian (baptized in the ARP as a covenant child). Together they have two beautiful daughters.

Nick loves to spend time with his family hiking, camping, and finding waterfalls to admire. Occasionally they will watch Bob Ross and have a family paint night.

Nick was first called to serve HARP as her associate in 2020, and called to serve as her pastor in 2022 when the former pastor left to take a full time position with the ARP's mission agency, World Witness.

Jim Coad, Visitation Pastor

Jim was born and raised in Georgia. His mother, Evalyn, is a Georgia native.

Jim attended Covenant College, working with inner-city ministries. On a Mission Trip to Mexico Jim met and fell in love with his future wife, Galita. After graduating from Covenant Seminary he returned to Mexico as a missionary in 1983. They have three beautiful daughters, all married to godly men.

In addition to his role at HARP, Jim also works with our denomination’s missions arm, World Witness, making frequent visits to the Huasteca area and the Camp in Rio Verde, Mexico.

Paul Lawing, Pastoral Intern

Paul is a graduate of Erskine college with a BA in Business Administration and a minor in Bible. He is currently attending seminary to pursue a career in ministry. His father is the pastor of Christ Church in Denver NC.

He has served as HARP’s youth intern since the summer of 2018 and currently serves HARP as our Pastoral intern. Paul loves being outdoors and exploring God’s creation. He also enjoys working on his father’s farm.

Buddy Nash, Director of Music

Buddy came to the Huntersville area in 1999 and his family joined HARP as members shortly thereafter. After joining the choir, he substituted as pianist on occasion. In doing so, God called him to pursue music ministry. Buddy began serving in other ARP churches as he worked on his studies, graduating from UNCC in 2010. He recently left Opera Carolina after singing with them for 8 years.

In April 2018, Buddy returned to HARP, to serve as Music Director. He has been married to Barbara since 1992 and they have two grown children, Naomi and Nathaniel.

Buddy’s goal for our music program is to have enthusiastic involvement from all our age groups, enhancing the depth of our love and praise of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ.
